Questions

What can Myofascial Release (MFR) Help?

Myofascial Release can help with a wide array of things from chronic headaches, joint replacements, relaxation, performance enhancement and simply counteracting while improving the impact of gravity and daily life on our bodies and nervous system. What sets MFR apart from other therapies is that it addresses both the elastic and collagenous components of fascia which allows for long lasting change where most other therapies only address the elastic.

What can Tensegrity Balancing Help?

Tensegrity Balancing takes it a step further than MFR and releases the fascia but also changes it's shape through application of techniques that alter the loading pattern. Daily application techniques which contrast the habitual patterns allows the body to reach long term fascial remodeling.

Why will you give me self-treatment techniques or techniques to apply to the horses?

Human:
It is important
for you, as a client, to be self-empowered. To know how to care for and resolve your body's tightness enables you to, in the convenience of your own home, speed your progress and reach your goals more quickly with fewer hands-on treatment sessions.
Equine:
It is valuable for you to be involved with your horses therapy as you can apply techniques daily which really helps with resetting the brain and body and changing existing and habitual body patterns.

What to expect in your first treatment?

Human:
Restore your body and mind equilibrium.
The first treatment includes an evaluation of your body and review of medical history, tailoring our hands-on approach and self-treatment instructions for your individual needs.

Equine:
Sessions will begin with a walking and static evaluation.
Sessions will then be a combination of Tami Elkayam's Tensegrity Balancing Therapy and John F Barn's Myofascial Release Therapy.

Owner's will be provided with homework techniques to apply themselves to maintain and improve the horse in between sessions.

How should I prepare for my first treatment?

Human :
Please print and fill out the intake form ahead of time.
Have an open space in which I can set up my massage table.
Please wear a bikini, bra/underwear, shorts/boxers that you will be comfortable standing infront of me in for an evaluation.

Equine:
Please have a safe space to work on the horse. Also if there is no covered area please let me know so I can plan the weather into scheduling.
